Catching up with friends - part 2

One of the best part of Latvia was seeing and meeting lots of fun people.

Elizabeth is another American-Latvian that I have known for ages. She is also working for the Baltic Times in Riga.



I am part of a club called hospitalityclub.org. It allows you to contact other people from around the world to meet up. So we met Janis and his girlfriend Maija one evening.



Viesturs was an exchange student at UW for a year. He always joined our Latvian conversation table to help me out, even though he is a native speaker. We met up with him at the green market before John's Day. We saw him again in Sweden, where he recently moved to start a master's program.



At the green market we could catch a performance of traditional dancing.



Another night, Dean went out with some poeple to Pulkvedis, a cool dance club in Riga. I had already had a bit too much fun that day and went home. This crowd stayed out until 5.
