Life back in Seattle
[September]
Ah, back in Seattle. We had a temporary residence at Mark's studio apartment (Hotel Mark) until we found a place of our own, still in the University District and with a great view.

Our daily life was a bit hectic. Dean started researching for the UW and I started hunting for jobs. In fact, if you'd like to see my work, visit my work-related web site.
We spent a few days getting organized and catching up with friends. We didn't cook a lot, but were also sick of eating out everyday from the trip. So our fridge was very sad for a while. We weren't around enough to justify buying lots of groceries.

Dean's big project was to order his new G5 computer. As a Mac lover, he was so happy when his new mammoth equipment arrived. It is about 50 times faster than his decrepit laptop and he has been glued to it ever since. I am constantly called over to his desk to witness the latest and greatest feature that he has installed. Although I'm not as excited about all this, I'm secretly a little jealous of the massive screen.

Our other fun Seattle activities are posted on the New Blog.

Wicked view! Where is exactly is this take'n from? Is it a particular building? Do they rent apartments there ? And how is the neighbourhood ?
Hi Rob. The building we lived in is the University Plaza on 8th and 47th in the U-district. It's all condos, but some of them get rented out. Gorgeous view of Lake Union on the south side of the building, plus Mount Rainier! We sure miss that view now...
